Today, the second part of the annual Film Finance Forum was held at the Plage des Palms with Producer Lars Knudsen and Writer, Director, and Producer Ari Aster to discuss their t venture, Square Peg. Square Peg is a production company that protects directors and helps filmmakers finance films in a time when financing is difficult to obtain. “We’re looking for filmmakers who have a vision that we believe in,” Knudsen told the . The duo also spoke on what the company is currently working on and how they keep themselves busy: “For producing, momentum is everything.” Knudsen began. “If you make one, it’s easier to make the rest…you need a big slate to get things made.” The ended with a discussion on what seems to be a common theme this year: the future of cinema. “It feels like we’re on a bridge,” Aster said. “It’s a very big, wide, open space, and you have to push things you believe in through.”
